Credence Hospital has been at the forefront of health care delivery in Kerala ever since its inception in 2001, and subsequent transformation into a tertiary level superspecialty hospital in 2006. Apart from providing high quality medical care and technology at affordable rates, Credence has also been closely associated with social and charitable causes.
Credence Hospital had a staggering performance in its first year of service as a full-fledged tertiary level hospital, treating over 35,000 patients for various diseases and disorders. The surgeons at Credence performed over 1500 surgeries, over 350 laparoscopic procedures with over 250 advanced endoscopic surgeries, and over 500 outpatient procedures. The first year also saw over 500 babies being born at Credence Hospital, most of them precious "test-tube babies" born after treatment for infertility.
Credence Hospital's first anniversary was celebrated in a grand event on January 28, 2007. As a recognition of its committment towards the health of the people of Kerala, the event was attended by the Honorable Minister of Health, Kerala, Sreemathi Teacher, Honorable Minister for Law, Kerala, Shri. M.VijayaKumar, Worshipful Mayor of Trivandrum, Shri Jayan Babu, Chief Secretary of the State of Kerala, Mrs.Lizzie Jacob, and KSIDC Chairman, Mr.P.H.Kurien IAS.
Credence Hospital also conducted 3 medical camps in 2006-2007, with the most recent one at Vattappara, Trivandrum in July, 2007, at a time when the viral fever epidemic was at its peak in the state of Kerala. Credence was the first and only private hospital to conduct a camp against the epidemic.
Between 2001 and 2006, the Center for Reproductive Medicine at Credence Hospital made its mark as one of the best In-Vitro Fertilization centers in India, with success rates at par with rates acclaimed as the international best. Over the 5 years , the center treated over a lakh of couples and has delivered hundreds of healthy babies.
