Diabetes is one of the biggest challenges that is being faced in India, and Kerala is no exception. Predicted to be the world’s largest diabetic population, the number of Indian’s with diabetes are steeply increasing.
A dedicated Diabetology Department at Credence Hospital was initiated as a step to tackle this looming crisis. The department, apart from diagnostic and treatment facilities, also runs a lot of programs to educate patients on diabetes and healthy lifestyles.
A special program for the management of Diabetes in Pregnancy is also run by the department in association with the Department of Obstetrics. Additionally, a Diabetic Health Checkup facility is available to individuals at high risk for diabetes.
